Letter from Mrs Barton

I have informed all pupils that I will be retiring at the end of this academic year. This has not been an easy decision to make but I feel that the school is now in such a strong position that Governors can expect a high calibre of applicant who will be able to continue to drive the school forward. The recruitment process started on Monday 1st February. You can be confident that, with the help of the Local Authority they will appoint a Headteacher with the necessary enthusiasm, energy and experience to lead Up Holland for the benefit of all our pupils.

I have loved working here. It has been rewarding and extremely challenging at times and I wouldn’t have been able to continue without your support. I know that choosing a school for your son or daughter is an extremely difficult decision to make but I can assure you I appreciate the trust you have placed in me. I know that the new Headteacher will do everything possible to ensure you remain justified in your choice and that the school will continue to go from strength to strength. You will be notified by Governors as soon as the appointment has been made. In the meantime, I will continue to work hard to ensure the best possible outcomes for your child.

Thank you once again.

Kind Regards

Mrs K F Barton
